Joint Pain

Joints are the points where one part of the body meets the other. Joints help in easy mobility of the bones. Pain at these points is known as joint pain. Joint pain is the uncomfortable state where one can feel pain while moving the joint. It is a very common problem in adults. Severity of the pain calls for medical action. Wrist, knee, hip, elbows are some joints that experience pain.
 There can be many causes of joint pain. Some of the common causes are listed below:
1. Over exertion of a joint
2. Inflammation, especially of the cushioning pads around joints
3. Excess body weight
4. Injury
5. Infectious diseases like hepatitis
6. Bone infections
7. Arthritis
8. Gout
9. Osteoporosis
10. Lack of movement and exercise or excessive strenuous exercise
11. Breakdown of cartilage
12. Cancer, lupus, fibromyalgia
  • Try to keep the joint in motion
  • Stay physically active by following moderate exercises
  • Eat healthy food and manage body weight
  • Opt for physiotherapy sessions
  • Try natural plant-based supplements for treating inflammation and strengthening bones and cartilage
  • Consult a doctor if there is unbearable pain
  • Avoid cold water bath
  • Do not take any medicine without consulting your doctor
  • Do not practice heavy weight exercises
