Noni is a long shrub like tree, native to Australia, Polynesia and Asia with white tube-shaped flowers and yellowish green fruit, containing a characteristic unpleasant odor. Thousands of years ago, Noni herb was used by Polynesian people to treat a range of health ailments such as diabetes, high blood pressure, pain, arthritis, inflammation, tumors and other viral, bacterial and parasitic infections. Noni fruit contains cheese like bumps on the surface, that’s why it is also known as cheese fruit and has a pungent odor with a range of phytochemicals.
The scientific name of Noni is Morinda Citrifolia and is naturally grown in pacific region and some Asian countries. It is rapidly becoming well known due to its health benefits and densely packed nutrient.
